For sale here is the original Desktop Filament Extruder "MK3S+" from ARTME 3D®. This is supplied as a kit for self assembly. Please read the product description before purchasing. The 3D printed parts are not included in the kit. You can find them for self printing here.

The difference between the current models:

1. MK3S

A complete kit including all parts, tools and 0.5 kg of PLA. The further development of the proven MK3 with an improved heating element for more speed and a wider variety of materials. A mechanical measuring unit ensures easy control of the filament diameter. The new injection mode function enables small-format injection molding applications. The extruder drive is equipped with a 3D printed gear drive.

2. MK3S+

A complete kit including all parts, tools and 0.5 kg of PLA. In addition to the advantages of the MK3S version, the MK3S+ version also has a drive motor with a planetary gear made of metal. For those who want to operate the extruder 24/7 and want to save a little assembly time and maintenance effort.

3. MK3S light

The most affordable entry point into filament extrusion. The Mk3S kit has been reduced in the MK2S light version to achieve a shipping weight of under 5kg in a small package. This makes it possible to ship worldwide at a lower cost. However, the assembly effort is greater because the frame parts, the power supply and the tool are not included in the kit. See details below.

4. MK3S+ light

The most affordable entry point into filament extrusion. This kit comes with the geared stepper motor with a planetary gear made of metal. The Mk3S+ kit has been reduced in the MK3S+ light version to achieve a shipping weight of under 5kg in a small package. This makes it possible to ship worldwide at a lower cost. However, the assembly effort is greater because the frame parts, the power supply and the tools are not included in the kit.

Preparing and shipping time:

Demand is currently very high, so the preparation time until dispatch is currently 5 to 10 days after placing the order. The shipping time then depends on the recipient country.

Processable materials:

The extruder was developed for processing common 3D printer materials. These include PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and TPU. Other or modified materials such as PLA+ can often also be processed, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please read the online documentation for more details.

What is not included in the kit and necessary for assembly:

• The 3D printed components must be printed by yourself. (white parts in the photos) You can download the files here. The print bed of the printer must be at least 200x200mm in size.
  
• An empty filament spool (diameter of the mounting hole 50 to 60mm, inner diameter of the spool at least 100mm)

• Dust mask if necessary, as ceramic wool is handled
  
• Cleaning alcohol and paper towels

• Lighter
